Please note that we are not open Saturdays except by chance as of July/04
due to slow retail traffic and road contruction at this time of year. Sorry
for any inconvenience.
Good Value!
Ash has long been undervalued as a fine cabinet wood. It is a ring-porous
wood, and is often mistaken for red oak although the medullary rays
are much less pronounced. Because of the trees growth habit, the lumber
tends to be of high quality. It is usually sold unsorted for colour:
the sapwood is of a light colour and the heart a brown colour.
Good Value!
If your project requires short cuttings, consider purchasing what are
known as "shorts". They are of the same quality as longer
lumber, but cheaper because they are typically 4' to 6' long. For example,
we sell a lot of 4/4 F1F&BTR red oak shorts, currently at $3.97/bf,
with longer stock at $4.95/bf!
MAR/08 - SALE: 6' red oak shorts, 100 bf min., $2.97.bf!
MAR/08 - sappy 4/4 walnut, CLEARANCE $3.50/bf
